Welcome to kevinkrogh.com
In the year 2000, after two and a half decades of reading, teaching, and writing about other people's poetry, I at last ventured to write my own. The result was a one hundred sixty-eight verse narrative poem I called ”The Willow Switch", a Christmas Eve gift to my wife Nancy and our six children. I've been writing poetry ever since. When I realized that the stories told in two of my poems could be better told in a novel, I tried my hand at fiction, and a second passion took over my life (a portion of it, anyway). Four of my novels have been published, and a fifth is in the works. The Doll in McCallaway's Store, The Willow Switch, Because He Makes Her Cry, and The Pigpen are available for purchase. Click on the novels link to learn more about them and on the ordering info link to learn how you can order your copies (There is special pricing for book clubs). They make great gifts.
